Get Ready for the 2012 SA Architecture Awards!!

The Awards Taskforce has investigated a number of potential venue options for the 2012 Awards Presentation evening, and we are pleased to announce that the 2012 event will be held within Elder Hall and Bonython Hall, Adelaide University.

Experiencing these historically significant buildings on the night-of-nights for South Australian Architecture offers us the opportunity to step back and revisit the elaborate detailing and glorious spaces designed by F.J. Naish (Elder Hall, 1898-1900) and Bagot, Laybourne-Smith & Irwin Architects (Bonython Hall, 1933-1936).

The Awards entries will open 1 February 2012, and as practices start thinking about their award entries for the 2012 Awards programme, we also encourage emerging architects to consider nominating for the 2012 Emerging Architect Prize.
Another change next year is that we will be opening up the Public Category jury presentations for public viewing. This will mean that if you have an entry in the Public Architecture Category, your presentation will be viewed and judged by the jury, but will also be made available for members of the public to come in and sit down to view your presentation. This presentation will occur on a
seperate date than the other categories, so if you’re planning to enter into multiple categories, then please bear this (and the two dates below) in mind.Dates for your diary:

SA Entries open:
February 1 2012

Jury Presentations: 17th March 2012 (please note this will be for all categories except the Public Category
